Santa’s Spreading the Festive Cheer

Help us to help local charities right here on the Fylde Coast

Father Christmas will be joing us through November and December and helping us to raise much needed funds for a whole host of local charities and organisation.  Each weekend volunteers from local organisations will be bringing Santa to our Christmas Garden giving our shoppers the chance to chat to the man of the moment, grab a few photos and get themselves on the “nice” list.   Why not drop by and say Ho Ho Ho between 11am and 4pm:

18th & 19th November – The Swallows is a nationwide Head and Neck Cancer Support Charity.  Known as The Swallows Head & Neck Cancer Support Group’ because of difficulty a lot of people have with swallowing, this group is designed to help provide information for both patients and their carers.  The Swallows was formed by like-minded cancer patients to help and support fellow sufferers and their carers.

25th November  – Trinity Hospice provides compassionate care on the journey towards the end of life. By 2020 they want everyone on the Fylde Coast to have access to good end of life care in the place they choose: the hospice, the hospital, a residential nursing home or their family home.

Open 24 hours a day, every day of the year, they are proud of their modern facilities and of high standards. But are much more than a set of buildings – the nursing teams work at the hospital and out in the community, day and night, covering every part of the Fylde Coast.

26th NovemberStreetlife is a youth work charity that aims to assist vulnerable young people across the Blackpool area.  They provide shelter and support for young people under 26 enabling and empowering them to make informed choices about their situation and issues affecting their lives.

3rd December – Streetlife will be joining us again raising more funds to support local young people through their emergency shelter, drop in and lifeskill sessions

9th & 10th DecemberThe Rotary Club of Fleetwood take Santa out and about across the town every December, raising money to buy festive food parcels for people in our local community.  Their visit to Freeport Fleetwood will boost these funds and ensure more people on their own or in need will get some help this Christmas.

16th & 17th December – Our friends from Rotary Club of Fleetwood will be here looking to boost their funds helping them spread festive cheer to people in need in Fleetwood.

23rd & 24th December – Our final visitors for the festive season will be raising money for Donnas Dream House  Charity in Blackpool, a locally based trust providing free holiday experiences for children and teenagers with life-threatening illnesses and their families, and for recently bereaved siblings and their families.
